I don't own a house and probably never will but for reference point, my 1 bedroom apt that's half a mile from C-Link is $900 a month
That's a steal. These were the average rent prices for a 1 bedroom apartment for Seattle and the Eastside as of January...
Seattle: $1,371
Bellevue: $1,434
Kirkland: $1,244
Redmond: $1,256

People from Seattle are so touchy about the weather. Just admit it sucks and move on.
It's exaggerated. I've spent plenty of time in Seattle at various times of the year and the weather there is better than most of the country.

If I didn't live in S.E. Ak, I'd live in Santpoint Idaho.

I like where I live< Irving, TX, for as long as I want to work. Then I will probably move near my sister in Foley, AL. I like the beach, like the seafood even more. I like the entire Gulf Coast region.

I've wanted to see the Northern Gulf Coast part, never been there before.

La Jolla is really cool. I like San Diego a ton, too.

Considering you also regularly assure us that Alaska winters are "not so bad" so I think it's fair to say your definition of nice weather is a little bit of an outlier.

the weather in Seattle is not bad at all
it rains far more in Baton Rouge than in Seattle

I've heard That part of Alaska really isn't that horribly cold, generally.

Too bad San Diego is in California. One of my favorite cities stuck in a shite state.
I currently live in Seattle and if you can deal with the crap weather from Oct - May its pretty awesome. Summer is the best.

Yep, Seattle rain is more "light" rain, but gets a shite ton of cloudiness. That said, it's a damn cool city.

I'm pretty right-leaning, I don't really have issues with CA.
