Is America taking on debt to pay other countries why there is peace today?

This stuck with me since I read it yesterday.

For me, I take the money, and here's why: World peace doesn't solve poverty, famine, disease, lack of access to education, environmental concerns (don't @ me) etc. Also, if you had world peace, there's no need for military. That's a lot of people without work. World peace isn't going to provide jobs for those people and all the jobs that are created by giving contracts to military etc. (Side note: war is about money, I know that).

I like to believe I'm an altruistic person. Sure, money might change that, but for the sake of this argument, let's say I stay true to myself and my roots. If that's the case, I can make more of an impact on the issues I mentioned above and positively impact more people by donating money and resources.

I'd take the money because bitches and power.

Unless the world was rid of Muslims there can never be peace. Those bastards have been fighting over sand dunes, rocks and camel dung for 1400 years. They will be fighting in another 1400 years.

So I would take the money.
