I'm a construction manager and love what I do but if I could do it over again I would be an electrician. Much less owner interaction, simple scopes of work and there's about to be a massive boom for them

Absolutely this. I like my job but switched career in my mid 30's.
If I would've started in my 20's I'd probably be making double what I do now.

what do you do? Just curious… sounds like you’ve been at it a while and successful. You can’t shut the phone off at night after all the years?
I'm in IT for a 24/7/365 shop. I've been doing this for 24 years. I'm in a quasi-leadership position, so when the shite hits the fan I'll get a call. It's not super often, but often enough.

In the past I may have said attorney. Specifically a med mal defense attorney. But I am pretty pleased where I am.
Meanwhile my daughter is thinking she wants to go to culinary school and tbh I am a little jealous.

A cabinet maker and other high end hardwood furniture. I love it and am quite good at it. There's good money in it, if you want to stay busy.
For the average person, the costs of quality equipment and tools are prohibitive. I already own quality tools and rent them to my LLC.
