Since I live alone in the middle of nowhere....

What do ya mean someone just disappeared? You mean no one has heard from them since late one night? Gee, wonder where they went.

Im a little late to the thread but I've been in a home invasion situation. About 2 years ago my gf (now ex) and I were dog sitting at her sisters house (which was in a relatively bad area, we were just sleeping there for the week). Small two story, 2 bedroom and both are upstairs. Second night there someone jumped the fence and smashed the glass door out of the back door (which is what woke us up). We heard it and half a second later the alarm went off, without even thinking I grabbed my handgun and flew down the stairs and they were gone. Saw them jump into the car and roll out asap, tires squealing. I'm not confrontational at all but you seriously go into a COMPLETELY different mindset and dont think when shite hits the fan. Neighbors camera caught the car but nothing ever came of it. If you have loved ones in the house its instinct to protect them

How do you propose confirming this? Are you just going to lay there quietly to wait for them to steal something or get rapey?

If so, then killing them seems a bit premeditated.

Well tell them not to turn and run like a coward when I draw my gun.
