I don't understand all the love and praise FDR gets. He is the prototypical tax and spend liberal. The only things he had going for him was that he was a great orator and we entered WWII. Without WW II, FDR's presidency would have been a total failure. All his initiatives and programs did nothing to improve the state of the nation. And he is primarily responsible for creating the bloated bureaucracy that is today's federal government.
