Even then you would still have people posting recipes or dog pictures or commenting on whatever meaningless bread and circuses the regime used to keep people distracted.

Massive breaches that destroy all personal privacy with life altering losses financially and with identity hacks on such a massive level that everyone just says frick it and quits social media.
