Somewhat interesting that the “sloppiness” of the killer hasn’t resulted in a hit on a known former violent offender. If “sloppiness” indicates anything, it would seem to mean either DNA or fingerprints were left behind. And by now, those should have provided hits if the perp was in the database.

Very curious if this was a first-time offender. Any notable cases of a first-time home invasion killer who killed upwards of 4 people, the majority of which were beautiful young, women and didn’t sexually assault the victims?

(This is all based on the intentional use of the word ‘sloppy’ by the police. They want to convey something by trust term. But who knows? Maybe what they want to convey is not exactly in line with the truth.)

I remember one of the parents saying the crime scene was sloppy. In my mind that meant it was a blood bath. Just absolutely brutal with blood everywhere.

I always thought saying these 2 were back by 1:45am seemed off unless the time stamp on the food truck’s live stream was found to be off.

Maybe I’m getting my facts mixed up but I seem to recall the police also deliberately using the word “sloppy” and hinting at that he/they had left behind evidence.

But now that I do a Google search, it does appear that this came from the family.

Anyone else feel it was atleast two people?

Always been open to it. Killing 4 even at night with knife isn't easy.

I don’t think it’s impossible for it to be 2 people, but if we’re already supposing that the first floor roommates honestly didn’t hear a thing, it seems more than likely that a single killer was more than capable of dispatching the tenants one floor at a time without arousing the tenants on the floor above or below (depending on where he started).

If he entered the rooms, looked the door behind him, and quickly killed the first person in each room with a quick severing of the spinal cord, the other person in the room would be barely awake before the killer was on top of them, stabbing away. And if they tried to escape, they would be fumbling with the door lock/knob for just long enough for the killer to get back to killing them.

Has there been any discussion about why Maddie and Kaylee were in the same room?

Most kids knew the rear sliding door was usually open so no telling how many people came through that house on a given night. Front door had a number code, so the killer(s) were familiar with the place IMO.

Seems if it were one person and a targeted killing, they would kill the person(s) they hated and not gone into another room to continue the melee.

Seems strange to kill the couple and the two girls in a different room, for a targeted kill.

quote:

Neighbors said they heard some noise from the house on the night of the murders, but that it was not unusual to hear noise from the residence because the street is known for hosting student parties.

However this turns out, the reason for killing all 4 of them (in addition to not killing the girls downstairs) is going to be a real head-scratcher.

Sure, the friends are all part of a package, so maybe the killer's vendetta against any one girl carried over to the other 2 girls.

Or maybe the girls were all in a something that made them a combined target?

I hope the cops have some good info they’re just not releasing bc from what I can tell they’ve got nothing.
Just mind blowing considering the scene was described as messy and the killer was sloppy.

My bad. I thought it was one of the states that had recently passed a legalization initiative.

Funny side note on that about ID and weed legality. People in Coeur D'Lane drive into WA to load up then come back across the bridge......which inevitably where there are tons of cops waiting to pick you off

When you're still a hold-out state when even Alabama has started bending the knee on legalization, then you are really behind the times.

How do you know? What if the killer was on drugs?
