That woman needs to have her license revoked. Plain and simple.

He insurance company should deny her claim, license revoked and she should have to reimburse the city for resources spent to rescue her and recover her car

The only saving grace for her is that maybe this is her first rainy season in New Orleans...On the other hand she could be a complete idiot.

Old lady looked like she might be the mom of the overly attached girlfriend chick. Had the same eyes!

Boom.

I think the last flood we had 27 water rescue calls, just at my station (1/40), so who knows what the total was across the city.

These people are absolute morons. And 90% of the calls we get are people sitting on their hoods, not actually needing rescue, they just don’t want to get wet.

What a waste of resources when NOPD, NOEMS and NOFD are all dispatched to the same calls. The only difference is the NOFD always shows up within 3 minutes, some other agencies never make it. Take a guess at which one doesn’t get paid per call and is quite often abused by these idiots in the city..
And people wonder why the crime is so high and we don’t have enough police officers. We have enough, and they’re paid very well, they’re just bogged down with bullshite 24/7

FWIW I’m in Destin, so they can have that shite.

At least get everyone to show up once a year to sign a form saying they understand that the left lane is for passing only.

And for those worrying, Nola didn't flood. This was a minor event all things considered.

Jesus. This is an old woman with a handicap tag hanging from her mirror. Looks like she’s in her 80s. I’m not disagreeing that she shouldn’t be driving, that insurance should deny her claim, but some of y’all are being ridiculously callous and plain stupid here.

She literally drove around police barricades on purpose in a spot that has been flooding as long as she’s been living.

You calling us stupid?

Dude I was speaking about idiots as a whole. I deal with barrells of them a day.
Honestly I didn’t watch the news or click the link, I had an idea of exactly what it was about.
