What's going to happen when we have to go back to two lanes when reaching the bridge and you have to drop your speed while merging with the morons that drive in this state? It will be interesting.

People will ride the right lane until the last possible minute causing traffic to go slow af.

So....... using the road correctly and zipper merging at the end like you’re supposed to?

You're supposed to zipper merge with moving traffic prior to the stopped traffic.

If you go around the traffic jam in the open lane, then you are the reason those lines take so long.

gonna be a cluster frick with many a thread to document it.

I love the hellish temporary exit ramps with huge elevation changes they have now. gives you a rally car experience.

honorable mention: the beautiful cuts around the overpasses that really show lane keeping prowess of big rigs and texting stay at home moms.

Can they approve getting rid of the cops running radar causing cars to slam on their brakes which actually causes problems on the basin bridge

You must have never drove 1-12 after O’Neal lane to Denham exit when it Went from 3 to 2 lanes and created the biggest cluster, Friday’s could be an hour +

If the traffic jam would utilize both lanes, it wouldn’t be as long

The REAL reason the traffic backs up is because everyone tailgates and doesn’t leave room for people to merge in.

Yo-yo traffic is the worst. Keep a steady distance between cars and stop hitting your fricking breaks every 5 seconds and traffic would flow soooo much nicer.

But nope. Gotta keep that 2 foot spacing and not let people merge cuz “you ain’t gettin in front of me bawwwwww”

Yeah, because if you leave 3 feet, some jack arse WILL squeeze in just to sit in front of you the next 20 miles.

Not if everyone utilized proper spacing and didn’t tailgate

If everyone had to drive stick in stop and go traffic, you’d see traffic flow increase soooooo much as everyone quickly tires of shifting in and out of gear and learns to leave space between them and the car infront so they don’t have to hit their brakes every 5 seconds

Great in theory. It doesn't work with shite drivers everywhere.

You ever see the person with their signal on trying to get in the other lane and they have tons of clearance to do so, but don't? It's because they are a bad driver, and it only takes a few like that to frick up your last minute zipper merge.

Get over early, while there are still gaps between the cars, and you won't get gridlock at the choke point.

OR

People could stop tailgating and leave proper spacing between cars while in traffic
