Me too. I can remember a time when I was about 4 when I stood up in bed to look out the window hoping to see Santa and his reindeer. Sweet times.

Ah, I loved those days. Wondering if Santa enjoyed the cookies. Spreading out "reindeer food" and watching it disappear.

I feel like the more I have learned about the world the less mysterious it has become.

Why don't we spread out granola or Matzah Balls for Jesus?

He is real.

The contemporary pop-culture imagery is what you're wishing for,

Being a kid on Christmas Eve was exciting. Having a wood stove heat the house while meditating in front of a colored light Christmas Tree. The aliveness and anticipation in my belly made it difficult to sleep.

My sister would often awake around 6 in the morning and go to the dining room. We would wake mom and dad and sneak under the tree. Fun times. I would often get headaches on Xmas eve due to the joy and excitement. I never believed in Santa but it was an innocent time. My dad was an alcoholic and often abused the family but around the holidays we could let the anxiety and nervousness go and be free. We could be children with little responsibility. School was out so we could soak up the magic of presents and music. Dad would be in a good mood so we could relax. Football games were exciting to watch. We could enjoy the imagination of games and toys. We could escape into another world of make believe.

It really is awesome. Having a child that still believes in jolly ole Saint Nick is wonderful. Hopefully she'll still believe for a few more years before her whore mother ruins it for me
