HISD is ddealing with insane amounts of kids failing
The local news said 46% of the students are failing one or more classes.
11% is the norm.

For Conroe ISD / Grand Oaks feeder I do see how some students will struggle.
I work from home & run during the day and there are a LARGE number of middle/high school kids who are chillin, walking down street , hanging out and don't seem concerned.
These kids live behind the new movie theater on Guadalupe River road in that neighborhood with heavy renters & slightly different demographics than where 77386 is heading.

In a world where teachers are complaining about teaching in person, because there is a .005% they might die; it is nice to see a district realize children are the most important part of school.
I don't blame teachers for complaining about having to teach during a time like this. Or least, complaining about havin to do it in person when they may take precautions or the kids in their classrooms and/or their parents do not and it puts them and their families at risk of getting sick. Even if its a .005% (which its actually higher than that) of dying, no one wants to be sick or feel how covid makes you feel
