70 percent of the people there are truly great people. 10 percent are opportunists who would maybe not do the right thing if the situation presented itself and they thought they could get away with it. The last 10 percent are true heathens and there is no changing them.... they will go out of their way to be criminals.
Bro, your math

That's dumb as frick, but let's not act like the black ghettos somehow improve under republicans.
When was the last time a republican was elected to office in the black ghetto?

Got to get a check
My mom taught school in La for 30 + years and told me how the mothers teach the 15 yr olds how to have a baby with no husband around so they get a check.

Aren't they about to take the "state-named" streets near LSU/McKinley and tear them down to make way for new condominiums and housing/affordable student housing? Maybe I am way off on this, but that is what I heard this fall at an LSU game...and thus, are we moving North Baton Rouge citizens here?
I applaud the effort if so (and we will do this sort of thing if not by McKinley, elsewhere), but I recall a beautiful complex being built in the late 90's off of South Harrell's Ferry named St. Jean.

I do as well, but only to a degree. Their culture glorifies criminals, denigrates cops, accepts a 75% illegitimacy rate, and consistently votes for race baiting "community organizers"
Until they take at least some responsibility (along with liberalism) for their situation, my sympathy is limited.
Could not agree more!

Especially for those that own homes there that are long ago paid for. They may want to leave.....but simply cannot afford to. The only reason my parents were finally able to get out of NBR.....was because of a house fire. That tragedy ended up being a huge blessing in disguise.
And the fire department investigated the hell out of that fire. It was several months before they got any insurance money because they had to eliminate any chance of arson due to my parents living in NBR.

And then good luck selling a house in that area too. That's why a lot of those houses are being leased/rented out.

Exactly, who would buy it unless you sold it for wayyyyy less than it was worth?

This sums it up.

Mandatory sterilization on every child born within a certain area code within a certain demographic for the next 5 to 7 years. Knockout a generation of thuggery and rewind the clock.

What killed NBR is children having kids and raising those kids who have kids. There is no moral compass when you see a 5 year old running the streets at night because the mother his higher than a kite.
The sad part is that portion of society is outbreeding the producing members of society... Because it's too expensive for the middle class to have a lot of kids.
The demographics/statistics don't paint a good picture of the future.

This is the issue at the heart of "white privilege." Black children in many areas are fricked over from jump street. That doesn't mean white folks are to blame, but when a significant portion of a race is born into such a pitiful situation, it's not difficult to understand why the cycle is so hard to break.
So what does that statement have to do with 'white privilege'? The fact that some black people do not make good decisions, over and over, is in no way due to the actions or inactions of whites. Just like the law abiding black community, their actions very often have little to no impact on said black people who make bad decisions.
But you can also say the same thing about some white people. They also make bad decisions.
The common thread for both groups is anger and hatred and a lower moral compass

I spent some time doing social work in north Baton Rouge.... Well scotlandville etc.... It was a war zones reminded me of Papua New Guinea. It's an easily solved problem tho. But requires honest introspection on the part of the natives

Guess it is a good thing Ben Carson exercised all of that white privilege to end up where he is now...

The Water Campus or River District or whatever the frick it is called announced recently that it would have something like 60 three-bedroom low-income housing units built. It's as if they don't really want to change the area.
