I think I hate Amazon now too, #teamCad (not buying only selling)

Ebay is light years better with seller support, I never though I would say that. But I have just spent four hours back and forth with some Indians and my issue is still not resolved, instead of getting error messages It just blanks out my quantity.
My advice, don't sell on Amazon, stick with Ebay or Craigslist.

it is harder to sell on amazon but i think thats just because there are so few sellers on there. private sellers like you and I

It's weird I almost forgot about ebay. Never go there anymore, all amazon mostly (plus some specific stores)

We sell a ton on Amazon, and I hate them. if there is a problem with the transaction, they always side with the buyer.

Ebay circa 1999-2005 was great. I used to buy and sell a ton and the fees weren't too bad. I've maintained an account on there since then and just listed more today. I just liked the idea of trying Amazon, but I'm running into restrictions of certain categories. Like "Amana parts is coming up restricted, but not Whirlpool or Maytag. Amanas are entry level Maytags and all of that is made by FSP, which is owned by Whirlpool and is ok to list. But since someone put the UPC of that part to an Amana machine for some reason it's restricted, and that is just one of twelve issues that arouse from new listings.
I like it in most ways and think the unlimited $40 a month + fees isn't bad at all. Just been reading nightmares on the forums and it shocks me how common these issues are. I also love how a customer can hook a new $200 board to a shorted out motor and blow the transformer on the board and I have to refund that, when no other place would pay for a fried NIB board. I do small warranties because the company backs them, but when you bring it a board that is blown at the power supply connector or the transformer you know someone messed up.
Then refunding it, taking the loss and still getting a bad mark. Yet it came New in Box. Just been a crap day with them today.

This thread reminds me... I sold some textbooks on Amazon a couple years ago. Those frickers never paid me.

Here's my problem with selling stuff these days, the shipping fees are out of this world. It's like ups and FedEx are trying to make up for how bad amazon screws them one personal shipper at a time. Anyone have any tips for shipping stuff so that it doesn't cost a fortune? Latest example was some printer cartridges that we didn't need because we bought a new printer. Crazy high shipping fees when we went to send them out.
