The past brings depression, the future brings anxiety
Live in the present
Find every day beauty
Do one thing, and do it well
Do less
Put space between things
Designate time for certain things
Think about what is necessary
Live simply

The meaning of life will come to you

2“Meaningless! Meaningless!”
says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless.”
3What do people gain from all their labors
at which they toil under the sun?
4Generations come and generations go,
but the earth remains forever.
5The sun rises and the sun sets,
and hurries back to where it rises.
6The wind blows to the south
and turns to the north;
round and round it goes,
ever returning on its course.
7All streams flow into the sea,
yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from,
there they return again.
8All things are wearisome,
more than one can say.
The eye never has enough of seeing,
nor the ear its fill of hearing.
9What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
10Is there anything of which one can say,
“Look! This is something new”?
It was here already, long ago;
it was here before our time.
11No one remembers the former generations,
and even those yet to come
will not be remembered
by those who follow them.

I was out walking my dog this morning at 3:30 am. The street lights illuminated the gravel in the asphalt. It looked like the streets were paved with diamomds. It was quiet, with no traffic and warm. The stars decorated the night sky.

As Im walking, I get this sense of euphoria, it felt like the world was racing underneath my feet with every step.

It didnt take me long to realize what I had found. Pure Joy. Then I started to think, maybe, just maybe.. I had everything I ever needed just at that moment.

God gave me two legs and a the whole earth to tread. Thats all we need, not money. If we needed money we would have been given it at birth.

All you need is your brain, health, and a path. God will provide the rest.

I am digging what you are saying.

There is too much stress in our lives and that can lead to depression. But I think that part of it is also people having certain expectations in life, that includes material things, that when they are not able to get all of their wants, life has less meaning to them.

But when they do get those things, it's not everything they expected.

There are a lot of people who, when they start their lives as a married couple.. They expect to live in a certain type of house, they want to drive a certain type of car, etc. But then there is always a want for more. Or the latest and greatest. And that's what their life is.. Getting then wanting, getting then wanting.

When they do certain activities they have to have the picture perfect situation. They want to look the part, so they want what it takes to have that situation. Instead of doing what truly makes them happy, they are doing what they feel like they have to do because everyone else does it.

Well, why do all of these different religions ask for money if its not needed?

You expect the preachers to fly in anything other than a private jet?

And you’re still at it this morning. Good for you. May we all feel even a fraction of this joy at some time. Pure joy is fleeting. Music and nature are the closest things that get me there.
