I'm with you, man.

Thirty-five. Never been married. No issues. Simply haven't met the right one just yet. I have viewed websites before out of curiosity, but found that they were all full of fatties, and single moms, so I decided not to go that route.

I love the freedom that comes with being single. I use it as an opportunity to make my dreams a reality without having to take into account a family, or kids. I'm my own man, and I live my life as such.

I'm praying that God puts my soul-mate and I together.

To be honest, I don't like dating anymore. When an emotional investment is made, and it doesn't work out for whatever reason, it hurts. And having that happen a few times over the years takes a toll. It would be nice to meet the right one, and have it work out.

But the older I get, and the more freely I find myself living, the more selective I become.

I can't imagine being 38 and single and NOT at least trying Tinder.

Sex that's "meh" is like pizzathats "meh". Still pretty good. Lol

i agree, dating and relationships (after the first 6-8 months) are truly overrated; i doubt ill ever get into another.

freedom is invaluable to me and waking up alone is also awesome.

tbh, i feel bad for anyone who has to wake up to a significant other every day. once or twice a week would be enough for me.

with that said, this thread is beyond weird. OP must be quite ugly to have never tried a dating site at 38 years old

#EatSlayLive

I haven't gotten to the point that I dislike dating. I really enjoy the honeymoon stage still. Also just enjoy meeting and getting to know people. I've very idealistic these days with it all. The sex from the dating apps and just meeting females out and about is just a perk.

i feel ya, this has been a recent realization for me - but not having to invest time into women or a relationship has been immensely freeing

if i didnt have a sex drive i wouldn't bother.

guess im MGTOW now, as beta as many make it out to be.

I'll be 38 in a few months and find it hard to say we grew up before internet. AOL instant messenger came out when we were in 7th/8th grade. By high school everyone was on the internet.

Well I didn't have AOL in the 7th/8th grade. I didn't get internet till I was 16 and a junior in high school and then it was only free K-Mart Blue Lite Special Dail-up internet. So yeah I'd say I grew up without internet.

The original Critters was on Tunnel, it burnt down last year so they bought the old Daves Cajun Kitchen on West Main.

Look, those folks that beat their chest on kids being the secret to a happy life and stuff bother me just as much as the loners who brag on their loneliness.

So if you're not married you're lonely?

I have a great job, family & friends, hobbies...
Just because I'm not married doesn't mean I sit at home by myself 24/7.
I'm sure there are plenty of married people that feel more alone than I do.

This thread turned out better than I thought.

I like how so many people jump to gay conclusion because I am single and don't use tinder or bumble...that is funny
