Started a new job in Jan, place is more laid back plus combo of being sick, bad weather I been WFH 2-3 times a week, much more than I ever had previously.
For sure there are perks like getting life shot done and saving time commuting, but found myself looking forward to going in.

Work from home is great when it is an option (Waiting to sign for package, meeting electrician/plumber/etc. at the house, not feeling 100%) but working from home indefinitely can be very difficult long term. It can be hard on mental health as well as motivation. I’ve worked remotely since fall 2017 and recently decided to rent office space just to have a place to go outside the house. It’s easier to focus. However, I do notice the office environment has many more distractions (mainly idiot coworkers).
ETA: I work in a job that is commission based so if I’m not working, I don’t make money. I can imagine there are similar (but even more so) difficulties of working a salary job from home.

Did you have home office?
I do and no kids. Ideal is 1-2 times a week

I could do it maybe once or twice a week. After that, I’m ready to be out the house.

I’m in sales and I spend 8 hours a week at the office but it’s closer to 6 hours for all the “meetings I book” during those office hours. The rest of those hours are on the road in front of prospects.

Only certain types of jobs are offshored and they’re most definitely computer based and the only other required skill is the ability to make a phone call.

I hate it, it's not very productive for me. I have a key to the building, so I'll slip into the office every few days. Only way I'll really get anything done.

I absolutely hated it. Took a pay cut to gtfo.
