I Know This is The OT - Can You Help Someone W/Aspergers

I've read this site for a long time.
I know I'll get the typical answers
Can you help a violent Asperger's person in their late 20's?
Short story
Guy attacks me last weekend, I refuse to press charges in hopes that something can be done to help him.
Shorter story
Find out he's been extremely violent and out on attempted murder charges against his brother.
Family is known
I shouldn't be alive and that's a long story not connected to this one. I feel I should pay things forward and help others.
If you can help someone, should you? Regardless of what that person did to you.

How do you know he has Asperger's/on the spectrum. Has he been officially diagnosed, or is it what people say. Aspergers typically is high intelligence which usually is non aggressive.

You answered your own question.
If you're violent and you’re retarted as frick or not it doesn’t matter.
If you’re trying to harm other people you need to be put down like Old Yeller. May make some people cry but in the end it was the right decision.
