I just watched when the levees broke on kodi and was a good documentary of everything that happened before and after Katrina. The main thing I wanted to see was the aftermath with how people were dealing with their flood and home insurance. I just saw they had actor Wendell pierce on it. Since katrina he moved to Baton Rouge. He lost his New Orleans home in katrina and now he lost his home in Baton Rouge in the flood and he didn't have flood insurance either. I feel bad for those like him who lost everything in Katrina and then relocated to Baton Rouge and for the same to happen in the flood.

There were a lot of folks that lost everything in both storms. If that happened to me I would pack up and move to the mountains in North Carolina.

I tried looking it up but didn't say what part of Baton Rouge his house was in. My wife watches tmz and they interviewed him and asked him would be rebuild here again and he said I lost everything and I don't know what to do.

My mom's side of the family is all from da parish, and lost their houses in Katrina. The older ones moved to Tangi and Livingston parishes, and got water again. They are South Louisianians through and through, and would never leave.

A lot of people don't realize how much people from here love this state. I will never leave south LA

Eta: All Spike Lee films are notorious for being about racism

I would crap my pants if I heard the levee wall collapsing and hearing the water rush through my area.

On Sunday, May 15, 2016, Pierce was arrested and charged with simple battery for an alleged attack against a female Bernie Sanders supporter outside Atlanta Lowes Hotel. He was booked and released on $1,000 surety bond from Fulton County Jail.[24][25] Pierce has been a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton and is on the board for Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a campaign created by the Clinton Foundation.[26][27]

Just saw that on his wiki page. Didn't take him for a Clinton guy.

There's no place in this country where you can live that would eliminate the risk of catastrophic natural disasters.

Lol, not to get political but he is an African American actor that starred in David Simon series. Who did you think he would support?

I really enjoyed the film and knew I wasn't going to agree with some stuff but very well done. It had whites and blacks and different point of views from all angles. If I was was in their shoes waiting for help like they did I would be pissed too. All those people who talk crap about bush better do the same to obama after what he said in this video LINK

You will be waiting a long, long time if you expect President Obama to receive the same treatment that President Bush did.
