Why don't people that are disgusted with what people post on twitter just follow people that post stuff they like. Anything that's open to everyone is going to have people that post some stuff you don't like. Unfollow the people that post crap you don't like. Twitter is great for business, following sports, following bands, whatever interests a person has.
