There is nothing wrong with laying down a couple hundred dollars or whatever you can afford on a couple of coins and just letting it ride. People that are taking out second mortgages on their homes to invest are the ones that are going full retard with it
Some of the people in the crypto thread are gonna be divorced soon.

and you think there will be a viable auto crypto exchange in the near future?
Again, it won't matter because eventually there will only be a few crytpos left and they will all be too volatile to ever be used as a steady currency.
I am not sure the investment in system upgrades for a store like say Target to accept fairy money that they just immediately convert to USD will be worth it as long as crypto remains the niche it is.

In other words it's still not widely accepted for goods and services. Unless those goods are drugs and those services are hitman related

I've been watching a ton of videos and reading articles on blockchain technology, and while I think it's fascinating, I have a very hard time imagining how more than one crypto currency has a shot of making it out.
Also, I don't see the correlation to the future of blockcoin technology and Bitcoin/Ethereum/Litecoin/etc. What good is Bitcoin if I want to use blockchain technology to streamline medical records, for instance?

Sounds like you're behind ethereum - do you believe only one crypto ultimately survives?

If people are doing that then shame on them. I'm looking at it as a form of entertainment, kinda like going to the casino every now and then. I'm just hoping for the best.

He is saying the blockchain can be utilized for the medical records purpose without the coin function.

I made one on the MB during discussion and one here during discussion so two I guess. Do you want me to make more? I can if you think I need to for validation and that would make you feel validated that you are correct.

You have to pay the miners or else there is no incentive to process transactions on the chain, but yeah, why use ethereum when you can start your own?
Also, despite my best efforts to grasp the technology, I'm still not sure how the blockchain would be useful for everyday life. Currency I understand, but other functions are hard to grasp. How would private/public keys work for medical records, for instance?

Can you imagine how much money you would have made over the last 4 years if for every negative post you made about bitcoin, you purchased 0.1 bitcoins? My god...
ETA: that may be my strategy moving forward. Instead of buy on the dips, buy on the Broke posts..

I don't own any currently actually :(
Do you want me to stop discussing crypto? It seems to make you really angry that I discuss things on a message board and I hate for you to be angry going into Christmas. I am here for you if that's what it takes.

At some point it seems like the process could be moved to massive servers owned by the block chain companies so no need for miners.
