2 of those were absurd claims, and it's becoming increasingly accepted. I even saw a booth at a Christmas festival last night accepting Bitcoin. Tons of companies are using it everyday.

Hardly anyone takes it. I’ve never seen one place that takes bitcoin. If you have a stable business, why would you want to get paid in a prospective currency that could double or halve its value in a week?

2 years later I still haven't found one company who will accept it directly (I don't mean doing an immediate conversion to US dollars). There are a few of those. They accept it and immediately convert. Actually they don't even accept the bitcoin. They aim you to the converting website who converts and sends $$ to the vendor.

A week? It's had some violent swings the past few days in mere hours.

When the big holders were touting future six figure values, they were unloading to retail investors.

Yea but as a business owner why would I want to take a form of payment that could lose 13% in minutes when my margin on my product or service may only be 20%?

Broke is correct that the places that do take it convert it right away to avoid this. Unless it ever becomes more stable, it will never be an actual currency. As it stands, it serves some purposes but let's be real that it's primary function is now an investment vehicle for prospectors.

This is ALL we've been saying for years. And again, I'm totally cool with that. Just get out when you've made your money. But don't get attached to it.

No, you're right, I was just being pedantic.

That's really all I've ever said of it. Broke is applying wiki and others arguments to me.

I'm just pissed I used what I bought and mined for weed instead of cashing out later.

I've never made a claim remotely similar to this.

Wiki went overboard on it because he is a hippy and has pipe dreams of ending governments and everyone having large orgys in joy of it.

I think Wiki also lied quiet a bit about his actual investment in it and even lied the other day when he came back when he said "I never have to work again" He may have made some money in bitcoin but I seriously doubt it was "never have to work again" money as that's a large sum and that's why he always avoided the question about how much bitcoin he owned.
