It did happen on duty. You know when you're walking through the woods and the a-hole in front of you doesn't hold the branch from snapping back on you?

Yeah, that happened.

An Optometrist is the proper answer. Plus, they can do surgery if necessary.

Go To the ED if you haven't already. Haven't read the thread. Busy and probably won't respond again anytime soon. But go. Now. Seriously. High potential to be an open globe- one of about three eye emergencies.

Like everyone else has said...you def need to get that checked out....ASAP. Don't mess around with your eyes. Infections can cause you to lose your eyesight.

Yes, I took an selfie of my sliced open eyeball while driving because frick Darwin.

And Nurse and HopefulDoc are obviously full of shite. If I can do all that then obviously my eyeball is fine.

You'd be surprised how many people have serious eye problems/are blind because they thought something wasn't serious and would just go away on its own. And if it's an open globe injury it could be very serious.

Would you rather lose an hour or two and $100 or lose an eye?

ETA: you should really see an eye doc (Ophthalmologist/Optometrist). A lot of hospitals don't have anybody with any experience with eyes
