Yep. I love boiling them for friends and family. The drinking beer, hanging out outside in the spring, camaraderie, feeling like I am doing a true Louisiana thing like my ancestors etc etc. The crawfish are ok, nothing special. It is the process I am in love with

I don't eat any seafood, and I was born and raised in Cajun country. No allergy - just don't like the taste and aftertaste.

Lobster>Crab>Crawfish>Shrimp

I'm from the Coast so we ate shrimp a lot. When I first tried crawfish I was so happy.

Lobster is by far the worst for me. A piece of rubber dumped in butter. Might as well dip the sole of your shoe in some melted butter and call it a day

Only one box of rgular salt and one box sea salt for purging

AND mayo catsup mix for dipping Only after dumping them into an icechest (yeti) and dusting with Old Bay.

and I'd rather eat a bologna sandwich than waste time peeling a crab

I have fun going catch them with the kids but then I give them away

Same.

shrimp > crawfish

Don't ever order crabs. Too much effort.

Don't ever order lobster. It's just a worse tasting crawfish.

I like them but the act of eating them and all that goes with it are what make them so popular. Crawfish boils are normally pretty good times.
