Guys,
If you own the property where you live, and if you are taking apart pallets, get yourselves a long magnet on a pole (Lee Valley has a good one) that will pick up nails as well as other metal.
Lawnmower tires get more expensive each year. Magnetic sweep

I see some cool things done with pallets but unless I know for sure where they came from, I wouldn't make anything out of them that's going inside or will be touched much. The shite that soaks into the wood when chemicals are involved can be really nasty.

At least he got them to your house and you didn't have to go round them up.

I saw a project on my wife’s FB page a month or so back where someone had taken pallets and made outdoor furniture; a bench I think.
I don’t think they took them apart, just nailed, or glued maybe, them together to make whatever it was.
Kinda like big legos.
She’s got some project in mind for you.

She wants to make a planter box and a wine rack. I don't know why 8 (i counted, it wasn't 10) pallets were necessary for that but I guess if she messes up she can start over.
