I feel sorry for kids whose parents make them trick or treat before sunset

Usually their mom drives them from house to house and then walks them to the door. It wouldn't surprise me if most of them are home-schooled and aren't vaccinated.

Indeed. Not like it used to be.

I feel sorry for you because you are an idiot.

Meh, depends on age + presence of older siblings imo.
I want to say around 10 we were set free with pillow cases and a 4 neighborhood limit to our roaming.

Mine started at 5:30 because they couldn't wait. By 6:30 they were ready for supper and wanted to check out all their candy. They were exhausted and sound asleep by 8:30
Fully vaccinated and not home schooled.

Sucks but I damn sure wouldn’t let my kid go out late at night by themselves in this day in age.
Too many child abducting sickos out there. The world isn’t what it used to be.

You get a pass since your kid is that young, but when they get 4 or 5, let them go with some older siblings or friends who are like 8 or 9 while you stay at home and have a few beers.

Mine are little and we go early.
Halloween in our area has become an excuse to drive farm equielment and jacked up golf carts with drunk arse young adults acting like retards.
I'd prefer my children ages 3,5,7 not around for their bullshite. As it was one drunk bitch almost fell off the front end of her farm equipment head first on the concrete to show off her dance moves to DJ kool.

What time is trick or treating this year in BR?? I keep seeing people back in BR posting pics of their kids on fb trick or treating during daylight. How lame.

For some reason, this situation pisses me off. There is a certain non-denom church I pass by just about every day. It's not HPC, it's a relatively smaller church. But they preach against Halloween. So which all the other kids are out trick or treating, etc.. This church rents out a few of those blow up jumping things and a blow up slide and all it's members bring their kids there. They don't dress up, because that's too much part of "Satan's day". And it is just sad that some a-hole who makes a living preaching to these people, tells these people they shouldn't do this or that because it is "the act of the devil". Kids with parents who don't let their kids trick or treat past sundown or not participate in halloween and tell them it's because it's Satan's day will be a little fricked up when they grow up.

Poor guy, do you need a shoulder to cry on?

Got my arse chewed out by the so bc we left too late for trick or treat.
Keep in mind my daughter still isn't old enough to know what Halloween is and it was raining and cool. We were just gonna bring her to community events that were indoors and not to people's houses.

No. She had her muffin top out with her yeti cup with her initials in her hand.

5:30? Most adults with real jobs aren’t even home from work by 5:30.

Many municipalities have set hours for trick or treating, most that I have seen set the end time at 8:00PM

It seems that the kids only trick or treat from 7-8pm. Sun isn't down till 7.
I recall it being longer when I was a kid during the late 1970s and 80s. Did setting the clocks back occur earlier in the year back then such that it was dark by 6pm and allowed for two hours of trick or treating?
