There are a lot of religions out there, and many of them have been around for a while. Let’s hope that you’ve chosen wisely.
A good start is with distinguishing religions from cults like Mormonism and islam

Can you do so? Why for instance would Islam be a cult while orthodox Christianity isn’t?

If Mormon chicks do this, I wonder what the Amish chicks do.

Of course I can. Islam was founded by some random pedophile dude. Simple.
Posted on 7/2/25 at 7:21 am to HagaDaga
That’s what makes it a cult?

It's a checkmark. Your boy mo is no different than David Koresh.

You should look further into it, if you think it was just random born son to a carpenter in a barn.

It isn't in marriage, and if she's had her period. During that time 12 was like a 20 yo in today's life span. And religious or not, mother nature gives a sign that says a female is ready to procreate. Which a real religion says marriage is the proper method to start the family process.

Ah, so the distinction between a legitimate religion and a cult is based on HagaDaga’s personal beliefs. Now we’re getting somewhere.

Why do you like discussing this?
You don't believe any of it, and you never will. You aren't condescending, and you seem reasonably intelligent, although uninformed about the basic tenets of Christianity.
I assume you just like the debate aspect?
Just curious...

I’m very interested in religion. I’m now generally irreligious, but I wasn’t when I was younger. I’m probably more informed about the tenets of Christianity and Christian history than the average believer.
I also try not to be condescending about someone’s beliefs except when it comes to pointing out hypocrisy.
It’s just a topic I enjoy discussing.

I'll sum it up, as best I know how...
Christianity is the only faith where "you" aren't required to be good enough or do enough to receive the gift of eternal salvation. Every other cult that has been mentioned in this thread says you must do something to gain enhance into Heaven.
God just asks us to believe His Son paid the price for our sins, which He did. If you've studied Christianity you likely know this.
As always, if you ever wish to discuss this offline, via text or email, I'll provide contact info.
Your eternal salvation is important, and I hope someone in your friend group reaches out to you.

Well sounds like you should be paying more attention to the message, instead of fantasizing about how many hairs are on the alter boys balls.
Unlike the rest of us that count sheep to help us fall asleep, you count pubes on nutsacks.
