Wait until China goes back to work. It’ll pick back up. Not to mention the inaccuracies in their reporting.

I posted this on the Poli board for comparison. It’s quite possible it could be that widespread due to its long incubation period and lack of symptoms in some.

The Swine flu pandemic was in 2009-10.
quote:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that swine flu infected nearly 61 million people in the United States and caused 12,469 deaths. Worldwide, up to 575,400 people died from pandemic swine flu.

I’m a firm believer in your incubation period theory. You are ok until you are not ok and it could literally be over night if not over hours. Little time to give people around you a warning before showing signs yourself.

Not welding people into their homes but spraying the streets with bleach, yeah probably

I didn’t say that welded everyone in their homes.

But they were essentially on house arrest with very limited ability to leave, enforced by patrol and CCTV monitoring.

It won’t be that bad, especially with the steps we are taking.

Look it all sucks but probably for the best.

Who would have believed that Bourbon Street would be the cleanest street in the country.

Even worse, apparently once you are infected, you are contagious even if you don’t have any symptoms of the virus.

So you can feel totally fine and be spreading it around unknowingly.

Exactly, and when it's over many will question all these steps being taken because they'll see t it wasn't bad and not realizing it was the steps taken being the reason why it wasn't.

Read the other thread on the front page stating the 2009 swine flu had 60.8 million cases in US with 0.02% fatality rate.

This is likely to cause the same infections with a 2-3% fatality rate. That’s many times higher that previous outbreaks

Those 60 million cases are estimated. Your "2-3%" fatality rate for this coronavirus is based on confirmed cases. The actual death rate will not be anywhere close to that number once we are better able to estimate how widespread it is.

China lies all the time. And this time you believe them? They are trying to save face. They could run the factories on just the energy created by burning their dead. But believe a Godless countries propaganda.
