It’s not the enlisted soldiers and junior officers that worry me.It’s the senior officers ,admirals and generals.
Obama purged the patriots from the senior ranks,now it’s all a bunch of “woke” MF’ers that care nothing for our country or the servicemen under them.
All they care about is the gig they can get with defense contractors after they retire.
They just all salivate at the thought of getting us involved in some bullshite war that has nothing to do with our national interests and keep it going as long as possible.
They care nothing for the servicemen that die or are maimed.
The flag officers are never in harm’s way.I remember seeing a clip of “Storming Norman” Schwarzkopf leaving his bunker,he was surrounded by at least 6,maybe more,soldiers armed to the teeth.
Even Gen Jack Keane,Fox News talking head and former advisor to G.W.Bush and Gen. Petraeus is on the take.He served a a director for General Dynamics and chairman of AM General,produces Humvees.
I always thought he was a patriot.Maybe he is to an extent but he’s got his fingers in the MIC gravy train.

What freedom did you buy me in Iraq?
There hasn't been a war fought for freedom in 80 years.
It was fought for oil money and Haliburton profits. My roommate in college served over there and all he got is a permanent disability check. He will be the first to tell you the war there was bullshite and we shouldn't have been over there.

Can you provide your sources for the information you are quoting?
I for one had plenty of options. But serving my country couldn't wait since I didn't want to miss the war. That was the case for most of my piers. 90% of my piers used the GI bill to get their degrees and start careers.

You would lose that wager. I was in the 99th percentile on the ASVAB as well and the recruiters wouldn't leave me alone.
The military targets rural areas to recruit with more lower middle class families for a reason.
Take a private school and a public school in the same county and the recruiters will show up at the public school way more.
I think there are some smart people that use the benefits that the military provides to lead them to an early retirement, but that just isn't the case for the majority of grunts.
