It's worth it, if you watch alot of YouTube.

I follow several bushcraft dudes, and they make their living based on their youtube videos. I don't mind paying for YT Premium knowing it goes to support their channels and content.

Most probably have a Patreon account. If your main desire is to support them, YT is not the best way.

I gladly pay the $20 per month for premium. I use YouTube for everything. Don’t even watch cable/streaming.

I usually watch YouTube in the safari app on my phone and it seems ads have not found their way to that yet as long as you're in full screen. Sometimes there is an ad before the video starts but you can refresh the page and go straight to the video.

It's free for you to watch. But that's how us creators make money for the work we put in

We discussed this very same thing today. It’s gotten really bad.
Not nearly as bad as Facebook. It has become almost unusable. The only reason I go there anymore is the Marketplace and Groups. No ads in Groups. Once they start injecting ads into groups, I'm done with it.

I use Brave on my iPhone strictly for YouTube. Also lets videos play in the background. Adblock on desktop, I haven’t seen an ad in years. Don’t know why someone would pay for premium when these things are free.

This is madness. I have ad blockers on my computers but if I’m watching on my tv or phone, I am bombarded. They may finally have broken me and force me to get YouTube premium.

A lot of the videos you enjoy on YouTube are made by people who do that full time. You expect them to work for free?

I also enjoy YouTube Vanced on Android. Unsure about iPhone compatibility. It's a separate, stand-alone app with full features and no ads, distinct from regular YT.

It’s worth it. I use YT a lot and it would be hard to go back to having ads.

Agreed, I watch a frick ton of YouTube as well as my son and its worth every penny. But they purposefully make the ads annoyingly constant so you opt to sign up.

You can watch YouTube content on the YouTube Vanced for watch all the content without ads. Visit LINK for download

“Wini” has one post, this one, which bumped a one year old thread (because it’s run scraping looking for discussions on message board to push this app)
