It's been around forever. I don't see you how people haven't heard this. Last time I saw my grandpa he kept saying baw and I about lost it thinking about the OT baws

Funny thing is a lot of phrases the OT thinks are original and cool have been around over 20 yrs.

Baw and tree fidfty were popular when I was in high school in the 90s.

I hear brah, baw, cuz (cousin), cap (captain) used interchangeably in Cajun country.
