Yeah it is, I just got back to BR from Lafayette. Waze took me on backroads to Breaux Bridge because there was another wreck I10 Eastbound in between Lafayette and Breaux Bridge

I truly didn’t realize that they shouldn’t even be passing in the left lane.

You have no idea what the hell you’re talking about. If there is a distressed vehicle or LE / 1st responder on the shoulder, you are required BY LAW to provide a 1 lane cushion (if available) when passing. It’s a $1,000 minimum violation for Semi’s in most states.

In most of the 'civilized-enlightened' parts of the modern world, trucks are relegated to right/slow lanes only as well as a mandated slower speed. Given the inherent safety/danger concerns of these large vehicles...it seems to make perfect sense and saves lives at the small 'expense' of receiving your washer/toaster/X-box, a couple of days later ! But not in the U.S........WHY ? Trucking/transportation lobby is sooooo adept at BRIBING most of our elected officials...infuriating !!!
