I-10/12 closures?

I'm on the way home from Dallas to Slidell - in Natchitoches right now? I haven't been anle to follow road closures since I've been driving. My original route once I hit Lafayette was 1-10 through to Baton Rouge, then I-12 to Slidell. I'm hearing I-12 may be closed.(?) Can I stay on I-10 the whole way and just go through Ken er on to Slidell, or is I-10 closed anywhere along that route? Any help is greatly appeeciated.

10 westbound is closed near highland at bayou manchac. They will be closing eastbound as well shortly I suspect

I12 is definitely closed from baton rouge to Covington. Unsure about I10

I have a friend who needs to get to BR from Covington. If i10 is open she can take the causeway to Nola and then i10 west.

I would find an alternate route to Covington on back roads then take 12 to Slidell.

You're gonna have to take 10 through NOLA. 12 east is closed

If I were you, my best guess is I20 from Dallas to Jackson, HWY 49 to Hattiesburg, then I59 to Slidell.

Since you're in Natchitoches, detour to Natchez, then over to Hattiesburg, then down I-59. Seriously.

Avoid the whole mess. Dallas -> Jackson -> Hattiesburg -> Slidell

I concur with prior posts... Take 20 to 59.
10 and 12 are closed in both directions between BTR and NOLA.

In double checking 511la.org, it looks like you can take 20 east to 55 south to 10 east. It all looks open.

No need to go all the way to 10. Just take 12 through Covington instead of 10 through New Orleans.

My bad. Thought his final destination was NOLA.
In any case... 12 is closed from baton rouge to 190 in Covington in BOTH DIRECTIONS.
So to access 12 you'll need to get on it EAST of 190 in Covington...

Per State Police Twitter, I12 is open only eastbound at 55 but still closed westbound beginning in Covington.
