Didn't the press release explain it would be like this for at least 30 days or more? Did you think they'd open it up just for you because you're special?

there are at least two different things going on. The pearl river bridge is down to one lane, but googlemaps says it's not backed up too far.
Then, the menge (or menage' if you prefer) overpass is closed for repair or enlargement to get ready for the bucees going in there. You'll also enjoy the additional lane on each side that is going to be added from mm13 to mm28. good times

They are tearing out the bridge there to build a wider one.
Will be a cluster f for a while. Luckily they don't work on the weekends, so my travels was smooth going to Mississippi, but getting out will be hell until next month when they finish working on the I-10 bridge over the Pearl.
LA DOTD needs to take notes on how to solve problems. Unlike the problems on US 90 that will not be addressed until 2026 when they can build a new bridge.

And a third - you can't cross the state line at Hwy 90.
I-10 is already 3 lanes from exit 13 to exit 16.
