It was never a scam, but there was never enough research on it to declare it THE treatment for Covid-19, despite some encouraging results. It was wholly irresponsible for our president to continually tout it.

The methods of this study are garbage - as a retrospective analysis, while they attempted to control for baseline functioning, it was impossible to do so - their conclusions that increased mortality in the HCG group alone was possibly due to drug effects without any supporting information is silly.
This would normally be submitted to a low tier journal or regional journal for "publication" but given the toxic political climate, it will be picked up by the main stream media as confirmation of the Amazonian Brazil study that said patients were refusing to take placebo - so they told those patients they were getting placebo?????
