Jury should acquit him on whatever charges are brought.
Agreed. The DA is in the right to bring the charges, as he should not be the one to decide whether the man has committed a crime. Provided the facts of the case are as they are laid out in the article, the jury should acquit.

More useful dead than sitting in a cell. He'll get time, but I bet he doesn't serve more than 7 years.

(that's probably 50% on here).
You think 50% on here are bad asses? 48% of those you consider non-pussy have you fooled then

OP, you should fix title to say he killed him. He didn't just beat him, he beat him to death.
And I say way to go. Any husband worth his salt would have done the exact same in that situation and been fully justified in doing so.
If anything the cops should be giving this man an award for doing his civic duty.

This thread also settles the topic of tire iron vs. belt in that weapon thread a few weeks ago.

While it was unclear how Nash wound up inside the building at 1240 Washington Ave., the slain man’s friend Gregory (Gucci) Williams said he and his pal attended the nearby Public School 55.
Williams, a longtime pal of Nash, said the dead man was like a brother.
“He was one of a kind,” said Williams, 45. “I can’t say anything bad about that gentleman.”

Law enforcement offered a more menacing picture, citing the dead man’s 19 prior arrests. He was released from prison in July after serving nine years for bribery and drug possession.
His most recent arrest was Jan. 25 for trespassing inside a Seventh Ave. building in Manhattan, sources said. When a security guard arrived to shoo him out, Nash allegedly made a shooting gesture with his hand.
“I will come back and take care of you,” said Nash, who spent seven days in jail last month on that charge.
His previous arrests included drugs, arson, unlawful imprisonment, robbery and assault. In one particularly heinous 2003 case, he pleaded guilty to unlawful imprisonment for holding a 17-year-old girl captive for two days.
Authorities said the teen was sexually abused, stabbed and beaten — suffering a black eye, lacerations and a dislocated shoulder.

How the frick was he even on the streets after this? The justice system here is such a joke. People can go to jail for life because of non-violent drug offenses but murderers and rapists can walk the streets after serving some time.

Tpos.
If dude was getting away the husband is in trouble. You can't kill a fleeing suspect because they're no a longer a imminent threat

Zero chance a jury convicts him of anything.
