Holy cow, that's a generational photo. That's simply incredible and mind boggling.

Heavy rain already falling over PR, flash flooding and mud slides will kill more people than the winds and storm surge.

Going to cut right through the middle if it stays it's course. A wobble north would be good.

Do we still not have an idea where this thing will go? Any US mainland effects?

Lime Tree Bay, St. Croix weather station - south-central coast and open to the Caribbean. I don' t think it's going to survive Maria. Also large petroleum storage tanks just inland near port.

Hasn't it been faking EWRCs basically all day? Cause that loop looks like there might be one taking place just in time for PR landfall, which may be their last hope as far as taking the full unadulterated force of Maria.

Outer eyewall is contracting rapidly (notice the green circle around the eyewall gets thinner and thinner) but maybe the inner eyewall misses St. Croix to the SW.

I think Arecibo is where one of the worlds largest radio telescopes exists. Wonder what Maria will do to it?

PR is very mountainous where that 184 is predicted. El Yunque rain forest is in the area.
