Switched from Hulu to YouTube TV and I'm happy.

Biggest turn off for me with Hulu is that you can only have 1 "home" setup. Like you can't have it at your house and watch it at another address. You can stream from your phone or computer... but they only allow 1 TV.

Has a good bit of on demand content. You can record anything and it has unlimited storage. You can search say LSU and then click add to library and it will add every sporting event of LSU that comes on TV. You can select a league and it record every televised game from that league. Pretty cool stuff.

I switched to Hulu this month when YouTube raised their costs on me. I'm already itching to switch back. I've already canceled Hulu and will start YouTube back up when my access is removed from Hulu at the end of the month. I'll probably split with my brother in law, but I'd pay extra just to not have Hulu. The interface is terrible. The picture doesn't seem as clear. Also, you can't fast forward through commercials of recordings. I couldn't believe it when that happened. I recorded a game with the plan to watch the whole thing quicker. That issue is enough for me to never go back. I guess the one good thing is their library of shows, but that's not enough to keep me.

Youtube TV. Faster, better interface for guide, better dvr setup, not as many commercials for on demand stuff.

Does Youtube TV have their own movies and or series? I traded access to my netflix with someone for access to their Hulu and I don't even really use it. I was pretty disappointed in it.

I have DTV and looking into switching either to Cox or use a streaming service, but it will not be Hulu...

I’m trying the two week trail of youtubetv to see how it works. I think the only thing better with hulu+live TV is that all of Hulu’s content is available for the same price as youtubetv. So on top of live TV You get all of the Hulu content.

My price setup would be

64.99/month for hulu tv
Or
64.99/month for YouTube live tv and 59.99 a year for hulu with ads.

So basically to switch from hulu (which I have now) to YouTube TV would cost me about $5 more a month. Worth the switch? We shall see.

Edit: does YouTube tv have access to SECnetwork+ that would keep me on hulu for the college baseball season as that is the way I watch most LSU baseball games.

Ditched Dish. Tried them both, like Youtube TV much better. Hulu was awkward to use. Got Philo so my wife could watch the holiday movies.

Does Youtube have a cable box or console of some sort? Or do you just sign up for it?

Also, what about sports? ESPN, SEC Network, local networks, etc.?

That’s a terrible decision over $10.00 more per month.

No, it’s literally an app on your phone and smart tv. Yes, has all of that.
