Memphis Ridgeway (mostly black school) is hosting Bolivar (not mostly black school) in a girls high school playoff game.

Good job with the google.

It was a boys basketball game. The fight was between a Ridgeway cheerleader and some fans. Another article sited it was 2 18 y/o women and an 18 y/o man, pepper spray was used because they couldn't get the women to stop fighting.

(d) Replay the game with no fans

The TSSAA chose D, which is probably the right call, although Ridgeway loses an 18 point halftime lead.

Why couldn't they choose D, but just pick up from halftime with the same score? So instead of "replaying" the game, just finish it.

Previous HS basketball thread was moved to More Sports Board. Wonder if this one will survive the mods?

Why should Bolivar and their parents, fans, and community be punished, particularly if they had to travel a significant distance for a HS playoff BB game?
Evidently, the concept of “hosting” is completely lost on a segment of society and placated by the supposed adults in the room.

Why should they be rewarded for getting blown out? Why should the other team get punished for something they weren’t involved in?
