rumor is he will land one of the premium spots ala Barbara Walters like specials several times a year when he hangs it up. I would absolutely love to see him interview some business giants, world leaders, etc. if he can get past the stigma of his former self. Howard is no where near what he was when he first started his show. They still do some of the silly shite, but when he gets into it he is absolutely amazing at getting people to reveal more than they ever wanted.

I'm really hoping HBO gives him a contract to interview one celebrity or politician a week for an hour or more. If this was put on Sunday nights after Oliver, it would be insane.

But no softballs. He needs to interview world leaders, business leaders, super influential types in Hollywood. That would be amazing.

I think it's pretty clear that whatever he does next is going to be very music-centric. He always gears up best for interviews of rock people. And actors. That's what he knows best.

This thing is pretty disappointing. I'm looking at the Richard Simmons one, and there's no "Gaaarreee."

This would have been awesome back in 1997.

False. That's pre-ETM

You're about 2 pages late for this comment.

As said before Stern is the best interviewer around. Love the Jay Thomas show.

I dig Jay Thomas but it's a completely different show. Jay literally makes me laugh out loud whereas Howard's interviews captivate me.

I can walk away from Jay Thomas, but I will stay in my car if Howard is in the middle of a great interview.

His interviews are widely regarded as the best in the business.

Ron Bennington is the best. But Howard is very good.
