Richard should be in studio every day. I could hear him talk about anything for hours. The guy is genuinely a good person and is hilarious. They should fire Benjy and hire Sour. That dude is gold. Pure talent that needs supervision.

Marci is over all of them but she isn't discussed on air. She wrote a book about organizing and Howard brought her in to run the back office. The Slow Adult name change came via her. Same with Conquerer instead of retard. No more sybians. No more porn stars on air.

Have Sal and Richard gone back to doing the Tradio calls yet?

The problem is every single Tradio host can recognize Richard's voice immediately when he comes on. Sal not as much, but Richard is the best part of those Tradio calls.

But yeah, Richard is now the best part of the show. He's just gold, and I wish they hired him earlier. He's my faavvoorrittteee.

The problem with Sour is he's impossible to control. He can not be reasoned with and there's something incredibly wrong with him. Howard has said he'd hire him in a heartbeat to kind of take Billy West's place and pretty much be the house band if he could be controlled. He's allowed Sour a few times to be the house band for him, but the guy is simply insane.

I also miss KC. Wish he and Richard had more time together, since when Richard came on KC was fired almost immediately.

How is it that Howard isn't the head honcho who makes the call for his show's content? He's the sole reason that most people buy Sirius subscriptions. Talk about power to be autonomous...

If he brought this woman in to run things, how is it that he can't simply tell her to back off in changing up the show? Something about that doesn't jive with me.

One of the best Stern moments was when an incredibly dumb and young porn star came on and Artie fricked with her relentlessly. No way in hell would this happen on Howard's current show. Worth the watch.

Anytime Benjy is on air now it's a bit. The JD overreaction was also a bit. Since Marci took over the show it has sucked. It's nothing but staff and wack pack updates.

Frequency of great interviews has fallen way, way off

I haven't listened in a while, and that is sad to hear. He was at least at one time the best interviewer in the country. Last interview I heard from him was with Norm, but Norm knows how to carry an interview even with a shitty interviewer. That was a good one.

Guessing he wants to spend his Wednesday afternoons-Sunday evenings in the Hamptons or Palm Beach and the off weeks in Europe or wherever he goes instead of in Manhattan overseeing content creation.

Pretty clear that he's been phoning it in the last couple of years. I don't think he does much prep for interviews anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if he hangs it up when this contract ends, he should have more than enough money, I believe his most recent contract was for $500 million over 5 years about $1 million per show.

Even though the show has taken a couple of steps back in recent years, and I hate the Benji, and Memmet new stuff, he still puts out the best show and I'll listen a few times a week.

Actually his interviews are better than ever but they are real interviews instead of the regular bullshite. Bottom line is Howard is getting older and he is more about conducting a real interview instead of trying to piss somebody off. I have grown as a listener from 2002 until now and enjoy every minute of the live shows.

He still has some great bits like proctologly karaoke.

Richard Christie's dad is always a classic also.

Interviews are better then ever.

He just had an awesome Peter Frampton, John Mellencamp, and Lance Armstrong in the last week.

In the last year he got Sandler, Gaga, RDJ, John Goodman, etc etc.

If anything the interviews have stepped up if the other content had suffered

I agree. The "old" Howard many people miss just isn't as funny to me now. I loved it then.

I do miss Artie a lot.

Howard never went with fake fights and stuff, but after Bubba was on his channel, his guys realized that wrasslin "Works", get attention and move the needle, especially social media needle.

Richard's dad needs to come on the show. Could listen to his voice mails to Richard all day long.

I'm shocked Howard hasn't interviewed him in studio before. He's had Sal's wife on plenty of times, so I'm not sure why he wouldn't Richard's Dad given all the gold he's given them over the years.

It is Howard's choice that this bitch run things. Look up Artie talking with Opie on Opie's YouTube channel, that's all you need to know about Cunty McCuntface.

His dad and mom were on the show in studio.

The JD thing is really not a bit. It's Howard's passive aggressive way of confronting employees without berating them in person. Stuttering John is the classic example of this.

I listened from mid 90's to shortly after Artie left. Lost a lot of respect for Howard's exploitation of Artie's addiction and the show went to satisfy Hollywood.

Yeah, Ellen appearing on the show was the official funeral. I still can't believe he ever had her on since he totally despised her.
