how would you judge this truck owner?

Its a chick.

There's just no value in a 2wd F150

A buddy of mine got his stuck in a gravel parking lot at work

learn something new everyday on the OT.

After three of us stood on the bumper, he was able to get traction

There's value in getting what you want no doubt, but in my experience you get much better trade return on 4x4 trucks in this area

If you aren't planning to keep a truck for the long haul, may be better to pony up for 4x4

Nope....if you don't need the 4WD then don't spend the money for it regardless of what people here say. Extra cost to buy & extra cost to fix if it breaks.
