I left my job making 80k to pursue a degree in ME. I'm in my early 30s. You have only one life to live. If you're thinking about it, do it, and do it now. You don't want to spend the rest of your life regretting. If you don't like it after you made the jump, go back.

This thread has really encouraged me. It has also made me realize how insecure I have been.
To the OP, follow your heart. As long as the monetary power is there, pursue happiness. In the end all a man really has is his personal sense of joy.

i started college at 21, got an accounting degree at 26 (working fulltime), then started law school at 35 and graduated at 38. i'm glad i did it.
