I have a group of guys I routinely play golf with. She has a group of girls she gets together with and cooks, hangs out etc. this happens once a week normally.
Maybe once every month or two we’ll have people over or go to another couple house for a gathering.
Can’t remember the last time I went out to a bar room or was out in a public place past dark. Being married, having a home with everyone else having homes with yards and patios, there is zero reason to be out at a bar room.

Here in Cenla?
We go to Spirits like once a month basically just to get out of the house and hear the very limited live music.
Would love to go to the movies, it's a shithole. Would love to go to the Bowling Alley, not with that crowd. Live music is a joke here.
We went out a lot more when we lived in Boise. We'd go downtown with no real plans and find something to do. It was just us, but that downtown is small enough that you run into the same people at bars if you're out bar hopping.

Depends on the time of year. But I'd say we averaged 1-2 times a week up until this year, and it's slowed down a bit as our home schedule has busied up with our kids again.
Usually hit bar trivia mid week to break the week up, then get together and cook, watch sports, throw darts etc.
I get cabin fever pretty fast at the house.

In your opinion. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean everyone else shouldn’t.

Exactly.
One of my favorite things to do is go to a bar and watch sports, knowing nobody, just being around people.
I prefer that over watching sports with people I know honestly.

Outside of family? That is an exceedingly rare event, because people in general. Annually for work maybe, unless I can get out of it (which i generally do).

2-3 times a month maybe. Wish it was more but we always have other stuff going on and most of our best friends aren’t local.
But it also depends on the time of year.
Summer and football season is more. Less in the early spring and during cold weather.

Late 30's here.
When I still lived in LA and had a bigger social circle definitely every weekend.
Now live in MN and it's maybe every other wknd or less.
Just had a kid as well, so that's decreasing even more. Maybe 1 or 2 times a month now.

We're getting old so we don't really do evenings out anymore. As far as socializing beyond family...church about twice a month, get-together with friends about once a month.
Internet, cable and streaming services have really dampened the need for outside socializing.

At 43, maybe 2 or 3 times a year if we get an invite

Outside of family, my wife has One "must" and that is her office Christmas party.
I don't even have that .
There is the neighborhood Christmas get together, (10 couples) which we usually do, but not mandatory. That's our only social interaction.
I did go to a gathering of 5 or 6 old friends one night last year. That's an anomaly, though.
Once our youngest graduated high school (basketball / softball games), we were over and out.

You haven't lived until you reach your mid-sixties and are taking care of parents in their 90's!
Outings include:
Doctor's appointments
Procedures
Most of the interactions with what were once strangers are at home when one gets a nurse and a physical therapist thru home health and the other gets a nurse, an aide and a sitter thru hospice. My brother came home and helped out when my mom had her pacemaker replaced. He's coming back in a couple of weeks when they shock her to try to get her out of AFib.

I'm almost in my late 40s/wife mid 40s. My wife and I go out once or twice a month. We pair it with a movie every couple of months and at other times pair it with shopping. Our biggest change in the past few years was taking trips as a couple rather than as a family. We love our weekend getaways. We limit it to about 5 hours away. We've also flown places. Denver last fall and Quebec next fall.
