Times thickness divided by 27 (cubic yard)

After somebody checks my math...

Find out the cost of a poured "yard" of concrete. Multiply costs times the above answer.

Are you parking anything on it? (i.E. truck, boat)

Parking pad with no footings?

Finishers will charge you a minimum price for something that small. Usually about $450. The concrete will be $300 or so with fiber assuming 4" thickness. Then $100 or so in materials to frame it. This is assuming you frame and grade it out yourself.

I'd go to a new housing development near where you live and find a crew that's pouring sidewalk/driveways, tell to boss(the one that speaks English,) what you want to do, he can have his crew come by at the end of the day to prep the pad and form it, then he gets excess concrete from scheduled pours at his job site to use for your slab instead of just dumping it out. I did that to widen my driveway and the neighbor's next door

ETA: I paid about $250 for 200sq.'

I'm getting a ton of concrete work done. Got a real good guy he came in at a great price. It's like $2 a square foot. I saw him doing tear down this weekend and thinking "he's got to raise the price. basically I'm getting a sidewalk, and a 17' x 12' section of driveway that was cut out replaced (just leveled house, Kenna Brah problems) for $1600.

He runs a construction crew at the refineries and does side work. Dude has a degree in pre-law from Honduras but came here to work in refineries because of more money.
Average estimate was $4300 for same work.

$3.25- $3.75 a square foot seems right.

Cosmo,

If it is just a patio 4" will be plenty, no need for footings. 20'x10'x4" is 2.5 CY of concrete. Most places have a minimum of 3 CY ($110/CY) /delivery plus environmental charges ($5/CY), fuel charges (shouldn't be due to cheap diesel but are all over the place), and short truck fees (>6CY @$50/load). So you are looking at $395 just for concrete. You will need lumber (1x4s and 2x4s) to frame it ($50). I pay finishers $1/SF on 500k SF projects, you will probably be double to triple that. So $1/SF turns into $2.50/SF and at 200 SF you are looking at $450.

All in all you ought to be able to just pickup the phone and right checks for less than $1,000.

I just got a quote for about 700 sq ft, which will be stamped and colored for $6800. That includes framing and grading. Still looking to see if I can get it done cheaper, but that's the best I've found thus far out in Mandeville/Covington area. Seems high to me, but maybe that's the going rate in the area.
