I can accrue up to 960 hours of vacation and sick (each, for a total of 1920 hours) before it becomes use it or lose it. After 960 hours, I can't accrue anymore, but I get my yearly allotment to use or lose.

No actually it’s salary excluding commission and sales bonuses so $185,000 for the salary -

We have 2 weeks vacation and PTO/sick time you accumulate throughout the year (the rate depends on years with the company). Vacation is use it or lose it, the PTO can roll over.
That's a good idea
Same. Pretty flexible as long as you don't abuse it and it's within reason. We can use our hour lunch break however we want, which seems common sense, but I know some places are strict about it. So if I'm running 30 minutes late, I'll just say I'm taking a shorter lunch. Or if I get swamped one day and skip lunch, then I'll take a longer break the next day and call it even.

Ours is based on work anniversary date, not calendar year. That does help with so many people wanting taking the last week or two of the year off since they have days to burn.

Our company has been good about letting you go to Dr appointments, dentist, pick up child at school, meet plumber at the house, etc -- all without having to request that time off or count it as vacation.

Once we get around 400 or so, we have to burn some.

You get less than 32 hrs per year?

I currently accrue 10 hours per month (15 days per year). It rolls over forever but I stop accumulating at 160 hours, so I have to take a day to continue accruing.
Once I’ve been with the company for 3 years, I get 20 days per year, and accrue up to 200 hours.
ETA: All employees get 40 hours of sick time each calendar year outside of PTO. Those are use it or lose it and the clock starts back at 40 hours on Jan 1st each year.

Having said that, I can go over almost limitless so long as I take care of my shite and ensure my guys do as well.

I miss those days. The company was a much better place to work. No where near the amount of bull shite there is now.

We can roll over all unused vacation time but sick leave must be used or lost. I've got around 120 hours banked right now.

we have unlimited PTO and i feel like i definitely fall into the trap of not using enough of it. i would much rather have a defined limit and know the stipulations. this bullshite of worrying about if ive taken too much or too little based on boss' expectations, performance, staff performance, etc... is annoying as frick.
just tell me what i have and how i can use it and ill figure it out.

All of it, there’s a guy in my section with over three years of vacation, don’t even know how much sick, probably a bit more.

I'm not sure I'd like that either. I'd always be concerned if I was being taken advantage of and not taking enough or taking too much.
Our policy works out well for me, I get 27 days per year in one bucket. I don't get sick often and can work from home at any time so it's pretty much all vacation for me.
