The reason I can't grocery shop at Walmart is because I always end up with an extra $60 of non- grocery shite from the outdoors or garden section.
We just do the curbside pickup. I rarely set foot in a Walmart.

Fruit, sandwich stuff, ground turkey and rice, protein bars, oatmeal, eggs, Greek yogurt. About 35-45 every time at HEB. Also don’t eat out from Sunday night to Thursday then eat out almost exclusively during weekend.

They had them a dollar off last time I was at Whole Foods. I literally bought every single one they had of the flavors we buy. Got case discounts too

You’re bragging about that?

Nah baw, got to extend the lineage. My wife’s 10 years younger than me so she’s got the energy to handle it.

Seeing some of these figures makes me glad I dont have kids.
TBH, the amount I said includes a bunch of un-necessary crap.
Kcups- un-necessary
candy and chips -total waste of money
steaks and ground beef- un-necessary
bottled water can't really call it unnecessary when tap sucks even if filtered but it's cheap. Whole case of ozarka or nestle is <$5.
Softdrinks completely useless.
And so on.

Have averaged $543 over the past 6 years for family of four.
MIN $390 MAX $830
I read an article that said the average monthly spend on food in Nashville was $291 per person, but that included eating out.

A staggering amount...I don't even want to calculate the number. 2 adults and 2 older teenagers. My son is "bulking" so he eats 5 meals a day....all healthy stuff. I literally can't save a buck anymore. I blame the food bill. And my alcohol.

I try to keep it around 80 bucks a week but just for 1. That includes all cleaning products too. Although I sometimes have to add water to my laundry detergent bottle to get a couple last washes. Lol
