I go to a barber and pay $40, which includes tip. This is for a haircut and a straight razor beard trim (basically neck and upper cheek shave, he doesn’t mess with my beard length).

...when averaging a one year period with up and down months.
So, at the $10 - $15 "real barber" price that "real men" pay, your barber may earn enough to afford sharing a space in the local crack/meth trailer park and ride a bus to work.
...and if he has to pay for shop space, insurance, utilities, etc... your $15 barber would make a better living collecting aluminum cans from the roadside.
