What’s interesting about this none of my grandparents or parents smoked. They did have siblings that did though.

I’m on Cymbalta and I’m not lazy nor fat. They put me on it for nerve damage in my neck. It helps along with gabapentin.

When I see an abrupt change in attitude from being grumpy and unfriendly, to being engaging and helpful at work. I see that some kind of medication is kicking in.

None of the women in my family smoked...but both of my grandfathers smoked, my father smoked and my uncles all smoked. Of course, they were all from Kentucky (and one of my grandfathers owned a large tobacco farm). Still, my father (born in the late 1930s) smoked from when he was 12 until he was 40. He quit when cigarettes got over 50 cents per pack. Every male in my family that I knew that was born before 1960 smoked. None of the men in my family born after 1960 smoke.
