I feel like a baby rocking in its crib when the sun goes down listening to this

I used to live on the edge of the runway at barksdale so I went to bed to the sound of B52s

Done it before, but never on a regular basis.

I live near an Air Force base, get mainly c-130s and other cargo planes but have seen everything from f14s through f18 to stealth b-2 bombers. It's really not that bad near us but I'm sure it's loud AF closer to the base

I had a rack under the catapult on the USS Kitty Hawk. Night ops made it tough to sleep. I learned to sleep through it and now I can sleep through a tornado.

I worked/lived near a bombing range. Always enjoyed hearing the activity

It's called working night check and sleeping during flight schedule.
Nothing like sleeping 8ft below a fricking jet landing on your face and the only thing between you and it is steel.

Oh and best sleep ever? Aircraft carrier rolling through heavy weather in the Pacific.
Like getting rocked to sleep. God damn I miss it.

There was this bar near my apartment that use used to play 'Rock Lobster' and Love Shack' every night when I was trying to sleep. It was too loud!

As an AC2 I would tell the pussies who called the airport to complain "those are F-18s and that is the sound of freedom"
