Nope. I do a program called optavia. No shots, just calorie management and eating healthier.

Back during the pandemic i was 345, and lost to 175ish. Gained back to 270 by stupidity, but started at 270.2 on 8/4 and I'm at 249.2 today.

I am on the O shot. And I can finally see Big Jim and the twins. By the way, it does look bigger once you get rid of the fat that surrounds it.

Genuinely asking, how does this happen? How do you let yourself gain so much weight back and feel like shite when you know what it’s like to not feel like that?

You aren't wrong. I anyways had issue with breaking a weight "line", and ashtrays got discouraged. Optavia worked and felt better than i had in s long time.

The decision to start again was i got unhappy with how i felt, and looked.

Doing something about it

Age? How long were you big?

Have you incorporated an excercise regime?

Im in Mounjaro, lost 70 lbs pretty quick when I started, but has been slower lately. Been on it about a year and a half for diabetes but weight loss was a great side effect

Do you have a weight goal?

The mechanism is that it introduces a natural gut hormone that makes you feel full and sated, so you eat less. Those saying you lose weight by starvation are idiots. You don't starve. You eat. You just eat when you are hungry (yes, you still get hungry), and you eat a lot less than you used to. It's pretty simple.

So, calories in, calories out. I have no issue with people jump starting weight loss on this, but the truth is all it does is take away cravings and force self control. You can "eat a lot less" for free, and actually save money.

49 this October. Gained back to where i was 3 weeks ago over a couple years.

The first time o was big for a loooong time. I lacked discipline when it came to food. I got lazy after and i paid for it with gaining back.

No real exercise regimen yet, but i will soon enough.

My goal is to be at the weight i want and looking good by my 50th

An excercise regimen, while shitty at first, really becomes addictive over time and helps you with the self-discipline.

Do not set a final goal. Set step goals. Like 250. Then, when you get there, 235 and so on. Many feel overwhelmed when they set the final goal, but reaching milestones actually helps mentally.

Oh, and keep that shite up!

I had a Bro-in-law that was pretty friggin huge, for lack of better discriptors. He went from 350, down to 220 (was 6'4"). I was lucky enough to help him with his loss. We weight trained together. More muscle mass = more resting calories burned.

Exercise is not the most important thing when you weigh that much

1 pound a day for 3 weeks ...you are either lying or started really really fat.

This is not true at all, some winters I cut back on cycling and mainly lift heavy but continue my normal caloric intake and at the beginning of cycling season I am 15-18 pounds overweight.

My cutting cycle is dropping from ~3700 calories a day to 1000 and increase my exercise burn to 2700 for a total burn of ~4700 for a net -3700 a day so 1 pound a day loss. It is easy for me to go 18 days and I am sure I could go over 30 if I needed to.

The negatives is you have to have the willpower to eat the exact macros at the exact time relative to the exercise and have a decent level of fitness to burn 2800 calories in a reasonable amount of time.

Damn that’s a crazy calorie goal for cutting. Why so extreme? What are you riding by the way?

It wasn't easy, but i did it. And i proved i can do it again. Learned my lesson by gaining it back. Won't make the mistake again.
